Finalist in the contest Zero Boundaries sponsored by Zink.
  • Bill decides to gain some muscles and loose fat.  After the first two weeks of going to the gym every morning he goes to the bathroom, looks at the mirror and he still looks the same. He feels disappointed and the next morning he decides to stay in bed.  What he is not considering is that he actually gained muscular mass, but the change is so minimal that he was not able to notice it. The tragedy is that he was in the right track and he did not stay long enough to feel reassured about the results.

  • The main reason why people stop doing a physical activity or following a diet is because the changes on their appearance in a short period of time are so minimal that is really hard to stay motivated and keep a routine long enough to see real relevant changes.

Normally people use conventional scales to measure their advances, considering only one single factor, weight, but there are many benefits that a single number cannot register, like better muscular tone, clearer skin, confident body language, stress relief, and many more.
  • Step by Step is a photographic scale designed to register, evaluate and display daily changes in the user’s body.  The user would be able to take every day a single picture and measurement of his/her weight.  This daily image would be considered as a frame of a movie of success, motivating the user and preventing him from slowing down his/her efforts. Also the scale will register your weight over time, so you can see patterns of improvement and understand seasons where gaining weight is more probable, like winter time.
  • Step by step records relevant information that other way would not be able to compare it, showing in a frame/dairy photo a track of the user’s evolution during a specific physical transformation and includes personalized tips and encouraging phrases in order to motivate the user.
  • You can print your daily photo and put together a diary, ready to be seen in those places where you need special motivation like your gym bag, your fridge or your mirror.
